ABOUT ME
My name is Emily, and I am the founder of Wild Lens Weddings. I am originally from the depths of Cornwall, where my “wild roots” came from. After Uni I moved to Bristol and worked in Natural History for around ten years, working on a few David Attenborough productions- ‘Kingdom’ & ‘Dynasties’, Chris Packham’s ‘Dogs in the Wild’ and ‘Big cat 24/7’. I also worked on live events such as BBC iplayer’s Glastonbury live 2024. I met lots of people, I travelled the world, I lived the dream (or some people’s nightmare)!
But I also wanted something of my own – so I co-founded a production company where we created theatre films, festival coverage, and promotional videos. It was exciting, creative, and completely unforgettable!
So, how did weddings come into the picture? Well… I got engaged! Like any bride-to-be, I dove headfirst into planning – venues, caterers, decorations – and fell in love with the world of weddings. That’s when I realised, who better to capture a wedding than someone who’s also living the excitement of it?
At Wild Lens Weddings, I bring together my background in natural history filmmaking with my passion for weddings. My style is candid, relaxed, and unobtrusive. Think of me as a “fly on the wall” capturing every laugh, tear, and little detail that makes your day unique. If lions in Zambia didn’t know we were filming them, you can bet I’ll blend seamlessly into your wedding party!
It is important to feel comfortable on your wedding day, and my laid back, discrete, and candid approach to filming allows you to do just that.
